The doctor will invite some patients to be seen via video link.
The doctor will call the patient first and advise that they wish to video. If you are asked to do this a link will be sent to your mobile phone – please follow the link to be connected BUT please be patient the connection is quite slow.
If you are invited for a video appointment and will be using your mobile telephone, please follow the below instructions to set up your device for your GP/Nurse to Video call you for a consultation:
IPhone
- Go to your “Settings”
- Scroll down and tap on your browser e.g. Safari
- Scroll down and you should see “Camera” and “Microphone”
- Tap into “Camera”/”Microphone” and click “Allow”
On Android
- Go to your Settings
- Click “App Settings & Notifications”
- Scroll down and tap on your browser e.g. Chrome (you may have to click “See all apps” if not initially visible)
- Click “Permissions”
- Scroll down and you should see “Camera” and “Microphone”
