The LWP is a course aimed at adults living with any long term physical and/or mental health condition, living in West Sussex, Brighton or Hove. The course is currently running online due to Covid-19. We hope to resume face-to-face courses in the future.
Each online LWP runs for six weeks and is comprised of weekly 2 hour sessions, each structured to cover a variety of key topics dealing with various aspects of long-term health condition management, including managing pain & fatigue, stress & anxiety, depression, sleep, isolation, communication skills, working with your healthcare professionals, relaxation and distraction techniques, goal setting, problem solving and decision making. Maximum group size is 10. The group is led by 2 volunteer tutors who are also living with a long-term health condition(s).
We currently have spaces available for booking on the below dates:
- Every Wednesday from 2nd February until 9th March 2022, 10:00 – 12:00
- Every Tuesday from 1st March until 5th April 2022, 14:00 – 16:00
- Every Friday from 4th March until 8th April 2022, 10:00 – 12:00

- Every Monday from 7th March until 11th April 2022, 14:00 – 16:00

To join one of our online LWP courses, participants will need internet connection, an email address and be able to access Microsoft Teams (MS Teams) either through the app or online. A member of our team will complete a short online video call via MS Teams with each participant before the first session of the course to ensure they are confident in its use; this is a requirement of the booking process.
