Changes to our appointment booking and administration request system
Starting from 20th May, patients can request appointments and submit administration requests through our website. This is quick and easy and means no long queues on the phone. Online appointments requests are open, Monday to Friday 08:00 to 11:00.
For those unable to use our website, you can still call or visit us, and our team will complete the form for you. We encourage everyone who can use the website to do so, ensuring our phone lines remain available for those who need them.
We endeavour to leave our online service on for as long as possible each day, to accommodate as many patients as we can. However, high demand may sometimes require us to close the forms early. If you need medical advice and the form is unavailable, please contact your local pharmacist, call NHS 111, or if it’s an urgent medical matter, visit the UTC at Crawley Hospital or A&E.

FAQs
How do I book an appointment?
If you have access to the internet on a phone or computer, please go to our website, click the ‘request an appointment online’ button and elect new condition. You will be asked some information about your problem and how you would like us to deal with it. This information will help us respond to you in the most appropriate way and that you prefer.
What if I don’t have access to the internet or cannot use the internet?
If you cannot use the internet for any reason, please call us – we will enter your details into our website for you. This may take longer than our previous system, so please be patient and only call if you cannot use our website. The same process will apply if you come into the surgery and ask at Reception.
Why has this changed?
By putting all requests into one system we can review all requests and prioritise the people that need help urgently. We can help our patients in an appropriate way depending on what their request is, at a time and in a way that they prefer.
How does this work for me?
After you send your appointment request on our website, our doctors will aim to review it on the same day and let you know the outcome as soon as they can. They may be able to help you without booking an appointment, or they may be able to help you on the phone. If you need to be seen face to face, they will let you know the time and who you will see, taking into account your preferences and availability.
What do I do if you have no GP appointments left?
In the event that we run out of GP appointments, our reception team may arrange an appointment with a local pharmacist as part our pharmacy refer service or our local “hub” service if suitable.
A “hub” service is a groups of local practices working together to provide extra appointments at shared locations in evenings and weekends. It is a normal GP appointment but sometimes the doctor will be working in another local surgery and you will be asked to go there for your appointment.
If you are unable to book for a same day appointment or one of our alternative options and you feel your appointment cannot wait until the next day please call 111.
How do I book a nurses appointment?
To book routine appointments with one of our nurses or another services that we provide please call after 11:00 when the phone lines will be quieter.
Nurse appointments are available up to 8 weeks in advance.
If you have further questions please ask a member of the reception team.
